LMAO that’s great! I never remember I have that shield bubble until its too late when I play Volus. x.x It sounds a bit boring but also quite cool. XD If I’m Volus again next time for at least one of the matches I’ll certainly have to try that~

The role of the Volus is incredibly useful and necessary, but also under-appreciated because you just don’t earn any points playing it. It’s boring, but incredibly invaluable. The only reason I get any points is because I use strength enhancers so my melee damage is at least doing something useful. I’d really like to try to take one of the damage roles, but people usually don’t want to play the tank or support because of the fact that you don’t earn any points :(

I often quite enjoy support roles for just that reason—not that its underappreciated, but that it’s so damn essential. It feels good to be necessary! Until… no one acknowledges that fact, then it feels less good. xD So I go back and forth on that. But I definitely know what you’re saying.

But y’know, it would even help the testing if part of it was forcing a role rotation so we each played a different part every round or every few rounds. Force everyone out of comfort zones and into things we don’t play or just plain don’t like to play and see if we’re still successful. :D

Yeah, it seems like a really solid squad setup. That’s why I’m interested in trying it with people of different skill levels, just to see if it’s at all skill-based or if it really is just that easy. Granted, the reason why I always play the Juggernaut is because that doesn’t really require much skill; it’s mostly just the powers build.

Also we discovered another interesting tidbit about this last night. As the Volus, you can just hang out right beside the Juggernaut and alternate using shield boost and heavy melee shield bubble and you’re almost invincible that way. Good stuff.

Wait wait wait. What do I have to do to be a geth wearing a ridiculous hat with you guys?

Ah! Yess join usssss. (This is Tamos btw, on my personal so I don’t spam Tammy’s blog with ooc secondlife stuff TOO much XD.) But its simple really! Secondlife is free to sign up and download. You’ll want this viewer instead of the default, but you log into them the same way. The in-game currency is Linden dollars, or L, which you buy with real money but it’s not super expensive. like, 10 bucks for 2500L (the geth models are 900L, animation overrides 250-300L, then hats can be as cheap as 1L. I got Tammy’s fedora in a set of 10 for 10L altogether |D). And I can give you like 1k of mine to get you started or just buy ya some outright if needed! The textures are super simple, download as tga files (after you buy the geth models you have to ask the store owner, gould, for the image files) and edit, then reupload them and select them as the texture in the edit panes on the body and each piece.

The hats are just attached to the ‘chin’ bone and scooted around until they’re in roughly the right place. Omnitools are added, optic colors changeable and Synapse wrote a script that makes them stutter gethspeak everytime you write something, which I can copypasta to you :D well if I remember where it goes… eh I’ll find it. xD

Instructions so SIMPLE but I’ve fucked it up TWICE now SOB.

You just make the sauce and pour it with the rice into the baking dish over the chicken. RICE Y U NOT DONE AFTER TWO TIMES THE NORMAL COOKING TIME

Everything else is pretty good and all but… CRUNCHY RICE REALLY RUINS THINGS. That and an undersized baking dish. Siiigh.

I don’t understand how my first solo cooking project EVER, cheesy patatoes au gratin two or so months ago now, could come out SO GOOD AND DAMN NEAR PERFECT yet I can’t make chicken and rice properly after two attempts. I mean really, chicken, rice and potatoes are the things I know how to make in various ways BEST. Why does combining two of them ruin that? It should be awesome!

Siiigh maybe third time’ll be the charm… next week. We shall see.
